National Cadet Corps
NCC troop of
Radhamadhab College started in the year 2003 with 52 cadets. In the month
of December 2003, 20 cadets participated in the Annual Training Camp
(A.T.C.) at Masimpur and all of them were awarded ATC Certificate. One
cadet was selected for Trekking from this camp. In the year 2004, 17
cadets passed the 'B' Certificate exam held at N.I.T., Silchar. Three
cadets participated in the National Integration Camp held at Jorhat in the
year 2005. Two cadets appeared in the 'C' certificate exam 2006, held at
N.I.T., Silchar, the result for which is still awaited. Six cadets
participated in the pulse-polio programme under Borjalenga Primary Health
Care Centre in the year, 2005. The Cadets of this troop cleans the college
campus once in a year and also they shoulder the responsibility of
maintaining the discipline during the various programmes of the
College. |
| Games and Sports
To encourage
games and sports, the college has set up a committee with name and style
"Games and Sports Committee". The committee organizes various sports
events throughout the year. In 2004, the sports committee organized a
seminar on "Sports as a Career Option" to encourage students to undertake
sports as a career. An Inter-college Table Tennis Tournament was organized
by the sports committee in 2005. The Games & Sports Committee of
Radhamadhab College is affiliated to District Sports Association, Cachar
District. In 2006, a Gymnasium has been set-up in the college with the
financial assistance from the ministry of Sports & Youth Affairs,
Government of India. Gymnasium is looked after by the sports
committee. |
