Overview

National Cadet Corps (NCC) is a youth organization which contributed to the national unity and integrity. It is also shaping the youth into dynamic and responsible citizens. The motto of NCC is “Unity and Discipline”. It is one of the greatest cohesive force of the nation which bringing together the youth and molding them into united and disciplined citizens. NCC came into existence in Radhamadhab College long back under 3 Assam Bn NCC, Silchar. Dr. Surat Basumatary, Assistant Professor, Department of Education, was the former Care Taker Officer (CTO) of NCC Unit of our college. Presently, Dr. Santosh Borah, Assistant Professor, Department of Education is the Care Taker Officer (CTO) of NCC Unit of Radhamadhab College, Silchar.

Objectives of NCC:

1. To develop character, discipline, leadership, secular feelings among the students.

2. To develop the ideals of selfless service among the students.

3. To create a human resource for the service to the nation.

4. To create the leadership for the service to the nation.

5. To motivate the students to take up as a career.

6. To provide a sustainable environment to the students.

Guideline & Functions:

The NCC Unit of the college functions under a Care Taker Officer or CTO, who is primarily responsible for formation of NCC Unit in the colleges.

4. Air wing Training

5. Naval wing Training

6. Social Service and Community Development Activities

7. Youth Exchange Program

8. Conduct of Republic Day Camp

9. Conduct of course at OTA Kamptee and OTA Gwalior for ANO’s

10. Career Counseling and Personality Development

11. Remount & Veterinary Unit Training

12. Conduct of Certificate Examinations

13. Conduct of Adventure Activities
